I became a governor in 2014, and am currently Chair of the Resources Committee. I have one child in school, and another hopefully joining soon. Being a governor has so far been a learning experience, a challenge, and enjoyable.
I've worked in the public and private sectors, but I've spent most of my working life in the third sector, helping charities maximise their impact through the use of technology - automating the boring work, so they can spend more time with clients, patients or users. I also have a teaching certificate, and taught adults computing for four years at college.
